.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal extension is the sole TLD meant for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At first, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken third-level domains remained functional.

Through our firm, you can buy your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar company and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no special regulations on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME generic top-level domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the correct spelling in your native language.
